About AI Makerspace

AI Makerspace (AIM) is on a mission to create the industry-standard certification for production AI Engineers. Our work with enterprises is essential for providing insights into what companies really need in their AI Engineering teams.

+ Job Purpose

As an Enterprise AI Engineering Instructor, you will play a critical role in helping enterprise teams and organizations develop real agentic AI expertise.

TL;DR: You are the primary technical backstop for all things related to AI coding and design patterns. You must be able to dig into the weeds with production engineering teams, from data science and engineering to security and site reliability. To do this, you must have expertise and experience in deploying agents in production. As a result, you must be opinionated about best-practice tools and how they are rapidly changing in real time. You must be able to rapidly come up to speed and master the details of new technologies as they become available.

You will serve as the primary coding instructor for custom cohorts designed for mid-market and enterprise firms. These engagements include a constantly updated curriculum and dynamic project-based work focused on real company use cases. You’ll work directly with engineers, operators, product leaders, and business stakeholders to help them understand how modern AI systems are actually built, evaluated, deployed, and improved in production environments.

This role blends:

  • live instruction
  • technical coaching
  • enterprise facilitation
  • practical AI education
  • organizational transformation
  • production coding excellence
  • State-of-the-art curriculum development

Your opinions, adaptability, and technical judgment will be highly valued across client engagements and internal program development.

+ Responsibilities

Live Instruction

  • Teach live coding sessions to enterprise clients and students obtaining certifications according to the customized, detailed curriculum and schedule.

Curriculum Excellence

  • Develop, maintain, and version-control high-quality code assignments.
  • Ensuring repositories are up to date at least 24 hours before each live learning session.
  • Coordinate delivery with your co-instructor leading up to and during the engagement.

Collaboration

  • Work directly with enterprise clients to adapt our curriculum (as it evolves in real time) to their legacy production systems (as they evolve with new tools like Claude Code, Kiro, etc.)
  • You must work directly with students and internal production teams at large enterprises.
  • Respond to client and student emails within 24 hours (during the week) and by Monday on the weekends.
  • Serve as a technical backstop for the lead instructor and students.

Practical AI Education

  • Model best practices for AI Engineering in the industry by drawing on your deep experience and expertise in building, shipping, and sharing in your specific domain(s) of practice.
  • Balance the demands for high-level performance with a supportive community feel during every classroom session.
  • Champion Executive Showcase success for students throughout enterprise team cohorts.

+ How you will be reviewed

Your role is unique as both a facilitator and a technical guide, helping organizations move from AI curiosity to operational capability.

You should constantly balance:

  • technical depth
  • practical implementation
  • communication clarity
  • adaptability
  • strong community energy

To be successful, you must embrace the values that make AI Makerspace a place where people learn how to become production AI operators and engineers.

  • Stage presence: You are the leader of the cohort and will be on the stage more than anyone else throughout the 40+ hours of in-class time. Class will begin, transition, and end with you.
  • Mission-driven community member β€” actively supports and advances the AI Makerspace vision to empower the people who build AI systems to create real value for themselves, their families, their companies, and the world.
