Jacob Kilpatrick
I'm a logistical backbone across multiple programs and cohorts ensuring smooth experience for learners, instructors, and supporting teams.
Technically, I've been supporting AIM cohorts since before I graduated, but before joining full-time, I also worked part-time as a contract AI engineer at various startups.
Those roles were great experiences, but I always found working directly with students and seeing their growth and success far more rewarding than seeing a piece of software I built succeed.
Q: Where are you from? What's your origin story?
My first exposure to computers was a programming class in high school. Although I enjoyed it, and continued to dabble in it on my own, I did not see it as a career for me. Fast forward several years when significant negative impact fell on the company I worked for due to a simple mistake I made. Fortunately, I had taught myself enough coding skills to create the program that allowed the business to recover from the fallout of my mistake!
The rest, as they say, is history. The only thing I have been a part of longer than technology is family: I am a husband, father of two, and grandfather of three!
